Project Cooper nearing Completion!

I finished the first sleeve for the raglan sweater last evening, and will be casting on today for the second one.  Hopefully I can get in some quality knitting time today so I can finish the sleeve and block the pieces.  I've found so many patterns I want to knit for bug and the new baby... I'm itching to get started!

Oh yeah, and the babyguess reveal will be today!  Stay tuned - I'm waiting for bug to get up so she can draw the name from those of you who guessed correctly!

Will I be up and away into the wild blue yonder or tickled pink??

Knitting update: I've completed the front and back portions of the raglan sweater and am working on the first sleeve, hoping to finish it today... bug willing.  Then it's off for blocking, seaming, and gifting so I can start knitting for my own little ones.  I'll be doing the baby reveal on the 31st, so stay tuned!

Bump update:

That's me at 22.5 weeks - yowza.  Things are getting purty big around here!

Project Brody - Complete!

I finally finished Brody's sweater in it's entirety, buttons and all...

The seaming actually went pretty well, following some finishing instructions from the Yarn Girl's Guide to Simple Knits. And I found the cutest little teddy bear buttons at Hobby Lobby for the shoulder closure - lookie!

I found some tractor buttons too but they were too small, so the bears won... and they suit the sweater perfectly, if I do say so myself.  If I have enough time before Friday rolls around, I'll make a coordinating hat too, but that depends on whether the cold I've caught will cooperate with me.  Cold + Preggo = Very Tired Girl...  I'd like to have something to go with the sweater since I didn't finish the pants, so send good knitting vibes my way.

Still working on the back of Cooper's sweater - it's a little more slow-going seeing as I won't get it to him until after the holidays.  I vow to finish it by mid-January - promise.

Then it's on to knitting for my bug and the new baby - will I be knitting pink or blue??  Stay tuned to find out!

We made it through the seaming!

I finished seaming Brody's sweater last night and just need to add some buttons and it'll be done!  I'll show pics later when I have the buttons sewn on...

Now on to finish Cooper's sweater --

New Kid on the Block

I just finished blocking Brody's sweater and hopefully will get to seaming this afternoon or evening.  I've decided to just unravel some of the project yarn to do the seaming, so we'll see how that turns out.

I also completed the front of the DB raglan sweater for Cooper last night - it only took a couple of hours or so.  Maybe, just maybe, I'll finish the back tonight.  We'll see...

14 days til Christmas!

Seems I haven't started seaming yet...

I'm a slacker - I have yet to block and seam the sweater - ugh to finishing! And although I cast on for the coordinating pants, I decided to start Cooper's sweater too so I can hopefully finish both sweaters for Christmas and worry about the accessories later... I'm making the Raglan sweater from Debbie Bliss' Baby Knits book for Cooper, in a navy Blue Sky organic cotton. This sweater involves seaming too - yikes! Anyone know of a top-down raglan or in-the-round raglan for infants, just for future reference??

Oh yes, it's finally time for a pic of the bump!  Here I am at 20 weeks...

Notice it didn't take as long this time to get this size!  Oh the joys of that second child...

Up next - Seaming!

I've finished knitting the pieces of Brody's sweater, and now need to get to blocking and seaming.  I need some knitting advice though, seeing as I haven't made many sweaters that require seaming (I'm more a fan of knitting in the round!).  What type of yarn/thread is best for seaming so as to make a pretty/non-bulky seam?  Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

I cast on for the coordinating bloomers to go with the sweater, but I also might cast on for the sweater for Cooper so at least I know I can get both sweaters finished for Christmas.  The pants can always come later...  Anyone know a good in-the-round pattern for an infant sweater?

Ugh - 19 shopping days til Christmas and still so much to do!
