I know, I know. Another post and still not a finished pair of cargo pants in sight! I've actually completed all the knitting, and only have finishing/seaming left to do. It's really not that much, you say, so why haven't I finished? Well, excuses aside, I've been very busy. I swear. My child's been sick, work has been hectic, and to top it all off, I auditioned today for a role in the local theater's summer musical, Grease. I find out sometime tonight if I've been casted.
I must say, it was pretty nerve-wracking today auditioning in front of complete strangers, especially since I was one of the oldest people there! (And I'm not even old!) Anyhoo, my heart was racing and my mouth sooo dry as I belted out a few lines of Summer Nights. I'm relieved to have made it through it okay. I'll let you know how things turn out.
Okay, so back to knitting. I really mean to sit down and finish my current WIP so I can move on to my next... I've decided to make some picot edge socks in the preppy superwash yarn! Then it'll be on to more baby knits. My best friend is having another boy and my SIL is supposed to find out Wednesday what she's having. How exciting! I think my regular schedule and my knitting schedule are about to be full. More to come soon...
***update*** I've been cast as an understudy for Sandy - boo. I had a feeling this would happen. The older auditioners were all cast as understudies, whaddya know. Does this count as discrimination? LOL Anyhoo, I don't think I'll be accepting this role, in which I'd have to learn all the lines, songs, dances and go to every rehearsal and show in the off chance the other actress can't make it. I had to really think it over about whether to audition in the first place, since I'd have to sacrifice so much time with my family to do this, and to me it's not worth it to be an understudy. Now I know many famous people were once understudies, but this was going to just be for fun. What do ya'll think?
Oh well, if I can't have Broadway, at least I'll always have yarn.
