T minus... oh why bother at this point?

I washed the lamb rug and have it blocking currently on my office floor.  Here's a little bit better picture:

I think it will look absolutely too cute for words in my nursery...

Now, on to the subject of the baby hat.  I can swear I had the  Erika Knight baby knits books, but am unable to find the blasted thing now that I need it!  Anyhoo, I'm torn as to what kind of cap to make for my baby.  There's a very chic retro lace bonnet thingie in the Knitting for Two book, but I doubt it'll stay on a newborn head.  Other than the basic knit newborn cap, I can't find anything cute enough to want to make.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you seen the baby bonnet in Purl's Knitted Gifts book? Very cute and looks like it would stay on well.
