I finally completed the drawstring shorties for my baby girl, and they turned out soooo cute! Seriously - adorable. Big sis thought so too, as she gladly obliged to try them on last night when I completed them. Luckily she's a skinny little thing so can get away with it... Here they are on my G:
And the whole reason these things were made... for that diaper bum!
This was a fairly quick knit, drawn out only by my own procrastination and my little ISE scarf interruption. The shorts/pants are worked from the top down and in the round, which are two pattern ingredients I love. I do have to say the pattern was confusing at times, as it is written in a narrative way rather than a straight-forward pattern, so things got a little hairy there for a while. In the end, though, I was able to get past the rough spots and the rest is cuteness history...
Just so you know... I am knitting some. I've been working on finishing up some UFOs before I cast on for anything new. I'm currently working the first leg of the shorties for Lil G, and should finish those up soon. I've got a couple more UFOs to ponder after this project as well... but so many other patterns calling my name!
