Call me crazy...

but I miss this:

36wks

It was so much easier when they were in there!!!

No Naps = No Knits!

Lord help me, but what I would do to get my big girl to friggin sleep!  Lately she's been fighting her nap in the afternoon, getting in to trouble as soon as I close the door to her room, so there is little time for me to do anything I want to do... like knit.  At this rate, my second sock will take forever!  I have turned the heel and started the foot portion, so there is progress, but it's slow at that.

Will the nap fairies come visit today??  Pleeeeaaaase!!!

Love him.

Okay, so not the best picture (I never have time to take pics during the great daylight hours!), but beautiful none the less.  Dh and my girls gave me these gorgeous rosewood knitting needles from Lantern Moon for Christmas - how great is that?  I can't wait to feel the weight and the warmth of these needles in my hands- my mind is already reeling with project ideas!

Up next... I sooo need to finish the second PP sock and be done with it.  I need to get more purple Cotton Classic to finish K's toy.  And I want to knit something for my little girl as part of my effort to Go Green for my baby.  I'll fill you in more on that later...

At last...

a finished object!  I know... it's been a long time coming, but hallelujah I've finally done it!

The So-Called Scarf is in major need of a blocking, but I had to post a picture since it's been a while!

Wouldn't you know I finished it on a wintry January day in Texas - the high today was 75 degrees!  I'll get this baby blocked and on its way to my sister, so she can maybe use it inside with the A/C!!

One word on the Brooks Farm yarn - it rocked my world.  The colors are gorgeous, the yarn is super soft, and it was fab to knit with.   Go on and get you some Four-play!

2008: The Year of the Supermom

It's 2008.  Holy crap!  Where did last year go??

Oh yeah... new house, new baby.. that pretty much narrows it down right there.

Every year, I make resolutions to make the new year a better one for me.  I will get in shape.  I will cook healthy meals for my family.  I will be a better mother and wife.  I will keep my house clean.  I will stay committed and finish my knitting and sewing projects.  I will excel in my J-O-B.  I will stay on a budget.  Etc, etc, etc...

This year is going to be different - I'm really going to try to make these resolutions my reality.  Seriously.

Last year was a busy one - in addition to the house and the baby, there is still our wild child 2 year old.  I turned 30 (ouch).  I've become more involved in the church.  It's all culminated to an exhausting end and now here we are in another new year.

2008 will be different.  This is my year: the year of the Supermom.

Are you ready?
