Alert the Press!

At last... an almost finished object.

The girlfriend shrug is (sorta) finished (minus the neckband) and adorable!  I used the same yarn that Wendy used in her version of the pattern since I loved the pastel self-striping effect, and it turned out great.  I've toyed with the idea of making some matching socks for bug with the leftover yarn, but seeing as it's splitty-ness (not a word, but you know what I mean) drove me crazy with the shrug, I'd rather not mess with my sanity over a tiny pair of socks.

Ahhhhh.  The satisfaction of an FO.  For a while, I forgot what it felt like.

what i've been doing...

Okay - so still no finished shrug.  I swear it's almost done, it's just so hard to fit in knitting some days!  All I need is a few more hours in the day... *sigh*

Pathetic

One post for the entire month of September??  I officially suck.

I've been knitting here and there and hope to have a finished object for you soon.  I completed all the sleeve decreases for the girlfriend shrug last night and hope to finish the sleeve tonight - then it's just seaming and picking up stitches for an edging around the neckline...
